While buying an air purifier for their home or business, many people tend to make some mistakes. Here are the things that you need to keep in mind when you buy a wall-mounted air purifier for your home or a commercial air cleaner for your business.

1. Avoid buying from a manufacturer that promises the strongest motor

When air is pushed through an air purifier at a high rate, the filters are unable to remove extra toxins which mean you are exposed longer to them. If your air purifier used HEPA filter, a strong motor may prove damaging over time as it will rip the strands making up the filter, which will decrease the efficiency of air purifier.  However,  one of the most important filters is the granular activated carbon for the removal of chemicals and odors.

2. Avoid buying the purifier with less than a 2.5-inch deep carbon bed

Make sure to never buy an air purifier that doesn’t have enough carbon because activated carbon is the most important filter. Just because a manufacturer says that their unit features an activated carbon filter, doesn’t mean that it is true. Many manufacturers only spray a thin layer of activated carbon over the mesh. A long-lasting and effective carbon filter features a deep bed of activated carbon and offers at least 2.5 inches of diagonal filtration to maximize the filtration capacity. 

3. Avoid buying an air purifier that is not proven

The next important thing to avoid is to never buy an air purifier that hasn’t been proven to work. Ask the dealer for proof, reviews and dig out all the necessary information. This is basically a part of your normal research.
